Hostel Raymundo is located in a privileged area of the Historic Centre of Évora, a city classified as World Heritage by UNESCO.
It is located in one of the main streets of Évora, very close to Praça do Giraldo (140m / 2 min walk), public transports, the Tourist Office and the central core of the city where most of the most important monuments are concentrated, including the Cathedral, the Temple of Diana, the Chapel of Bones, the University and Museums, etc., all the route between these monuments can be easily done on foot from this accommodation.
The origin of the building is lost in time, having been the result of multiple reconstructions and adaptations.
It has an ancient design, however, it has been intervened with the new (re)use in mind, with the concern of not spoiling its architecture and its historical past. From the top floor you can see some of the main monuments, the jagged roofs of the urban network and, in the distance, the Alentejo plain.
Our options in the preparation and decoration of the Hostel passed essentially by the preservation of the existing, reuse of furniture and decoration pieces, with an organization of the spaces thinking about the well-being and comfort of the guests. Therefore, the decoration is simple and light.
